Bird watch society of NE Scania (Sweden)

Nordöstra Skånes Fågelklubb (Bird watch society of NE Scania) is a non-profitmaking association open to all who care for birds. The Bird society was formed in 1976. The mission of the Bird watch society is:

  • to encourage bird protection and investigations on birds.
  • to promote interest in birds and bird protection among the general public.

The action area of the Bird watch society is the municipalities of Kristianstad and Bromölla in NE Scania. The great variety of different habitats – with the wetlands of Kristianstads Vattenrike in centre – is the fundament for the abundant bird life of the area.

  • We support, organize and accomplish ornithological monitoring in our area.
  • We suggest and promote bird protection projects and other investigations on birds.
  • We assist authorities, organisations and privates on ornithological topics and matters.
  • We publish four issues of the publication ”Spoven” every year (in Swedish only).
  • We arrange excursions, meetings and evening courses for our about 425 members.

Our service for people who don´t understand swedish is unfortunally very limited. We suggest the interested visitor to study the following links:

You are very welcome to become a member of Nordöstra Skånes Fågelklubb (the Bird watch society of NE Scania). All you have to do is to pay 100 SKR on our postal giro 1 64 24 – 4. Then you will soon have SPOVEN (with our programme/agenda) in your post box.
